999 is an awesome game, and I really liked Clover's character and design. However, what I thought was going
to be a fairly easy and straightforward costume to make ended up costing me and taking way more time and money that I originally
thought it would.
The button down shirt was made out of a stretch poplin. The jacket was made out of a pink
and black knits. The pompoms were found on eBay and then I hand colored them all to try and match the pink on the jacket. I
debated for a while whether I wanted to paint the lines on the skirt and bow, but I ended up finding a cotton with a pattern I
liked on eBay. The boot covers were made with a "shaggy fur". The gray part was dyed and the black part was hand colored with a
sharpie. The earmuffs were made using craft foam and a headband, covered with this fluffy leopard print I found. My really ghetto
looking watch was made out of craft foam, Model Magic, gesso, wood filler, coated wire, and paint.
The wig took way longer to finish than it should have, and I'm still not sure happy with it. I originally tried
to dye the wig using the FW Acrylic method, but the wig would not take in the dye. Consequently, I ended up coloring the entire
thing by hand. The pigtails were cut off and I stubbed the wig. The cut off fibers were used to create wefts for the new pigtails.
I used styrafoam balls for the base of the pigtails and then I used a straightener to make the curls.
