A friend of mine volunteered me for an Arashi cosplay group before asking me, but I was more than happy to
join in on the fun. Unfortunately, the group kind of fell through, but it was fun wearing it the costume with my friend
nonetheless. The costume itself wasn't difficult to construct, but it was fairly time consuming since a lot of the patterns
had to be painted on.
The orange undershirt was made out of lycra and the black top was made out of some kind of knit with white
bias tape for the trim. I can't recall what the base pink material was, but I'm assuming it's some sort of cotton. Before
resorting to creating the patterns on the fabric, I tried finding them in stores and online. I managed to find about a third
of what I was looking for. The rest were made out of scrap fabric I had lying around and fabric paint. All of the blue shiny
strips on the costume were made out of some sort of shiny fabric that was then fabric glued onto the costume. Finally, all of
the sequins on the jacket were hand sewn.
