A few of my friends prodded me into watching Merlin. I loved it and somehow this happened. I've been working on the costume on and off for a while since I couldn't really decided when I wanted to wear it. Overall, I'm happy with the way it turned out. To be honest, I'm not sure what type of material the main dress (the lighter yellow) is. I wanted to go with linen, but at the time, I couldn't find anything in that color. The fabric I ended up with is a bit heavier than I would have liked, but it works. The front lace is a cream stretch lace material. The darker yellow part is made out of linen. The top brown border was made with brown leather cord that was hand stiched onto the over dress. The flower design was acheived using a flower trim and small individual flowers. Finally, the brown cord used for the belt and the top to lace the over dress up was strips of either suede or leather. The shoes were a pair of flats that I previously owned, and the wig was bought online (I can't remember the name of the store). I absolutely love the wig. <3 Pictures
