Fujioka Haruhi
From the moment I started watching Ouran, I knew I wanted to cosplay from it. The costumes weren't anything special, but I loved the series so much. It took me a while to choose which host club member I wanted to cosplay, but I eventually chose Haruhi. I hadn't realized that the pattern I was using for the blazer was off until after I started sewing things together. Furthermore, I messed up the dye job on the blazer. As a result, I don't particularly like the way the costume turned out, but it's passable. I bought the wig a little under a year ago (when I first planned to cosplay Haruhi) at a costume shop downtown. I dyed it a few of shades darker with the some leftover brown FW Acrylic dye. The pants were from my Allen Walker cosplay and the white dress shirt was an old school shirt. Yay for recycling clothing! The tie was bought online. Purple ribbon was then glued to it. The patch was bought off of someone from Livejournal. I can't remember who it was though. There was no way I was making a blazer without a pattern, so I got the most accurate one I could find. Once again, I bought it a couple of sizes too big, so I had to modify it to fit me. The blazer was made from strech suiting. |
